Tuition Protection Service (TPS)
The Institute complies with the Australian Government’s Tuition Protection Service (TPS) under the ESOS Act.
The TPS protects students if the Institute is unable to deliver a course as agreed (provider default), including where a course does not start, is interrupted, or cannot be completed.
If a provider default occurs:
-
You will be offered a suitable alternative course at no extra cost, or
-
You will receive a refund of any unspent tuition fees (if you have not withdrawn before the census date).
The Institute will:
-
Notify affected students as soon as practicable in writing
-
Report the default via PRISMS within 3 business days
-
Within 14 days, either arrange an alternative placement (with your written agreement) or issue a refund, in line with the ESOS Act.
Your support and options
-
You will receive clear information to help you choose between placement or refund
-
Academic support will continue during any teach-out period
-
Learning quality and course standards will be maintained
If no suitable alternative is available:
-
A teach-out arrangement or refund of unspent tuition fees will be provided within 14 days
The Institute meets all ESOS reporting requirements, including notifying relevant authorities of changes to enrolment, course progress, or visa conditions via PRISMS.
